framework 250 CDs ready

framework250

framework, the radio programme dedicated to field recording and phonography aired its 250th episode last year. To celebrate, a two part double CD (i.e. four CDs) compilation has been produced in order to raise money so that it can continue. Listeners who donate €25 or more receive one double CD, €40 or more gets you the set.

“they come in hand-cut, hand-folded, hand-silkscreened opaque origami sleeves, with inlay cards printed on local 100% recycled estonian-made paper from the rapina village paper factory, about 20km from me here in mooste. the sounds are slow-burnt onto the highest quality taiyo yuden cdrs, and hand-stamped with custom made rubber stamps. they sound and look great, if i do say so myself. all in all, my novice over-enthusiasm means these are more effort that i would probably ever be willing to make for a release again, so snap them up while you can!”

My contribution to the compilation is a recording from Wszerzecz, in Poland from May 2009.

voyager from rockscottage on Vimeo.

After a fantastic summer of residencies it’s back to the UK (but this time relocated to that London).

Have finally managed to get voyager online as a single file thanks to H.264 and vimeo.

Right now am finishing off Gachagda, a film made with Alicja Rogalska at Art Villa Garikula in Georgia and a show for Symbiosis.

And earlier in the month, submitted a sound to framework250.
